In this time of uncertainty, stress is a condition that has increased enormously. Many people confuse Stress with Creative Tension and live with it. The autonomic nervous system responds to stress: a major obstacle in healing this “condition” is that stress continuously creates a positive feedback loop on itself, which has anything but a positive effect. Once it is present in the organism, its effect snowballs into a cause.
One of the most devastating physical effects of stress is the subconscious inhibition of breathing.
With the repetition of stressful situations, dysfunctional breathing habits become chronic. In order to liberate ourselves from these subconscious effects, this week’s She Talks explores relaxation through the study and practice of healthy breathing techniques.
