NFBPWC–NYC has a rich history and many inspiring women who have come before us. Four first ladies of the United States, a US supreme court justice, authors, businesswomen and pioneers of the women’s equality movement were members of this organization at one time or another. We are committed to building on this legacy by providing educational programs, collaborative business relationships, economic empowerment activities and networking opportunities.
MEET THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

President of NFBPWC-NYC, Nermin Ahmad is a UN representative focused on sustainable development and on Migration/ Xenophobia. Through a career in resilience planning and community development, she helped communities heal, and people start frank discussions across the US, in Africa, Europe, Asia and elsewhere

Vice President Membership, Devika Gopal Agge is an experienced writer, commentator and speaker with expertise in fundraising and developing partnerships with public, private and nonprofit sectors. She has lived and worked in US, UK and Asia.

Vice President Advocacy, Nesli Cakiroglu is an entrepreneur, who is deeply engaged with empowering women specially in business, advocating nationally and internationally. Recipient of the World of Difference Award.

Vice President Programs, Djenabou Bah, University student of Global Studies at the City University of New York.

Vice President of Young BPW-NYC, Emily VanVleck is a University student of Global Studies at the City University of New York.

Treasurer, Open Seat

Secretary, Voyka Soto, is a deeply committed educator, who presses for new forms of learning to be accepted in NYC schools that are inclusive of differences and celebrate diversity. She has a long career of planning and developing programs and new schools for for students with special learning needs in the United States and abroad.
